This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. We operate a private reference site. We cannot pull records, certify copies, confirm who lives at an address, or remove anyone from a roll or database. Those requests go to the office that holds the record. For emergencies, dial 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.

Start With the Office Holding the Record

The fastest route for a Montclair record depends on the record type, not simply on the street address:

  • Address and parcel clues: start with By Street, then use the San Bernardino County Assessor's parcel tools or Recorder index.
  • Old directory volumes and past residents: use City Directories and the regional library and archive catalogs.
  • One-person cross-check: follow the Resident Lookup route, which distinguishes a lead from an official confirmation.
  • County record contacts: the records offices guide lists the relevant San Bernardino County desk and portal.
  • Records not available online: send a focused request under the California Public Records Act to the custodian named on the relevant page.

San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk. Recorder Services, official-record copies, and clerk/vital-record directions are handled through ARC Recorder Services. The public counter is at 222 W. Hospitality Lane, San Bernardino, CA 92415-0022; Recorder Services: (909) 387-8306. Confirm current counter hours and copy requirements on the ARC online-services page before visiting.

San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters. For a person's own voter-status question, contact the Registrar of Voters at 777 E. Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92415-0770, (909) 387-8300, or use the County Elections site. California's voter-status service is a self-lookup, not a public street roster.

City of Montclair records. For city-held materials, use the City of Montclair public-records request page. A focused request should identify the department, subject, date range, and address or permit number when known. Under Government Code ยง7922.535, an agency generally makes an initial CPRA determination within 10 days, with a limited extension available in the statute. This site does not receive or forward requests.
